AFL PLAYERS
|
Brent Reilly, played with the Gisborne Rookies and then the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup. He was picked up by the Adelaide Crows as a first round draft pick in the 2001 national draft. Reilly played six AFL games in 2003, 14 in 2004, 23 in 2005 and 24 in 2006. He is now a regular and respected mid-fielder for the Adelaide Crows. In 2004 he received a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination.

Ryan Crowley played all his junior footy with the Rookies and then went on to play in two Grand Finals for one premiership with the Calder Cannons and also represented Vic Metro at Under 18s level. Ryan was taken by Fremantle with its fourth selection in the 2002 National Draft.
Ryan debuted against Geelong at Skilled Stadium in round 10, 2005. It was a memorable day for Ryan, booting three goals to equal the club record for most goals on debut.
After fulfilling his role in the club's most successful season of 2006, Ryan was selected to represent Australia for the International Rules series in Ireland.
2007 saw Ryan's stocks rise further as he reached the 50 games milestone in round 22.
