What a great finish to the season, winning all home and away games for the year. Now the hard work begins, there is no room for resting on our past performances now.If we drop a game we will be out so we must bring our best game with us against Sunbury or all the hard work will be for nothing so GO ROOKIES

Match Comments:
A very early start to Sunday. The footy was ugly like it always is against Sunbury. If we can play more than two quarters of footy the other teams will be very worried about the way we play. for example being first to the ball ,putting ourhead over the pill and tackling hard ,boys if we spread the ball to open spaces and run with it we play a lot better than if it is like a rugby match .GOOOOO ROOKIES P.S we had a very passionate coach on the weekend so lets see if we can quite him down a bit with good footy.

Match Comments:
It was a very cold day to play footy, but for some people were fine wearing shorts. Our one off coach was under a lot of pressure to keep a perfect record and as the game got on the way the pressure grew with a low scoring first quarter. Coach Kibble was showing the strain with a very stern address to the boys. The talk must of worked the boys kicked away and the colour returned to Coach Kibbles face so he kept his perfect record.Well done boys ,hope Snowey got a tan .Go Rookies

Match Comments:
A windy day once again at Melton, we started off very well with our attack and pressure on Melton. If we keep pressure on the opposition they will think twice about going for the ball which gives our team a little more time to attack the ball and make better choices with the ball. We still need to play four quarters of footy, so keep up the good work and remember TEAMWORK IS ALWAYS THE WAY TO GO! GO ROOKIES

Well done boys on another great game, this is only the second this season that we have played a full 4 quarters of football. Our attack on the ball was great, tackling was outstanding however we still need to remember to stay in our positions instead of constanting chasing kicks. We now need to keep up the great team work leading into the finals.

What a wet and muddy day, but our effort on the ball was fantastic, in and under will allways win you the ball every time which was shown on the weekend. 30 shots on goal with only 11 majors was very good due to the gods ,our centreing the ball made rupo very uneasy and did not know what to do so if we are in the pockets remember to look to the centre for a better option.WELL DONE BOYS . KEEP UP THE GREAT TEAMWORK.

What a great game on Sunday ,our first game that we have played four quarters of footy. It was very pleasing to keep Sunbury scoreless for the first half. The way we achieved this was with TEAMWORK ,TACKLING which created PRESSURE . In the third quater we began slowly and had two goals kicked on us which sparked us into action and there was no looking back.Keep up the good work boys,TEAMWORK IS THE WAY .GOOOOOO ROOKIES.

Match Comments:
We started the morning with very wet and windy conditions but it finally cleared and the boys came out blazing. The first qtr was very tight but as the game progressed we began to open the game up and started to link up and go forward. It was good to see a few of the boys using their opposite side when kicking under pressure this shows the coaching staff that you are actually listening. Once the game opened up we were able to play the game our way and this lead to scoring chances. Well done boys keep going with all the hard work and the results will follow.

Well boys a very satisfying result. The teamwork shown on Sunday was fantastic, attacking the ball, one of the most improved parts of our game is the talk.Fierce tackling will win games every week and we wear the hardest on the day and the other side did not like it one bit. We only had 17 players on the day ,it just shows us what a important part of footy is TEAMWORK . Well done boys keep up the great work.GO ROOKIES

The tradition continues.Mothersday ,thanks to all the mums for being part of the fun,the clapping goal umpire, big throwing in boundry umpire, strowling water and runners, time keeperand the ESCORTS,aBIG thank you. Now to the footy, what a fantastic game played by the boys, everthing we have been training for .Just a few points we have to improve on 1 staying in our positions, when the coach gives you a position you must stay in it to many times there should have been boys in the back line that were forward chasing a kick, you must stay on your man because we might not get away with it against Woodend .We want to keep our record in tact .Very well done boys keep up the great TEAMWORK THATS WHATS WIN GAMES.

Well done boys on a good win,The weather was ugly and so was some of the footy.Alot of what we practiced at training wasn't displyed in in our game, spreading out an dkeeping our game flowing, bouncing the ball,I think I heard Snowy tell you not to and also kicking off the ground. We mustn't be worried about putting our head over the ball and the umpie should cover our backs. I think i heard that a win against Sunbury is a good win.

What a great day for football! The pressure and tackling was outstanding. The way we were first to the ball showed the opposition we meant buisness. The exciting way we were playing made the crowd enjoy our ball skills and became very envolved in the game, the TEAMWORK that we showed by handballing and kicking to eachother showed us we still have work to do to hone our skills. The downside of our game was that we were on the ball half the time like seagulls on a chip maybe some people should space out so if the ball comes out of the pack they can pick it up and run with it.Thanks to our parent helpers without them we wouldn't have agame to play on the weekends.

Well done boys on a good game for the start of the year. We began slowly but once the cobwebs where blown away and the team got used to each other and we started to play very well with a lot of handballing which got us going forward. Our tackling was outstanding that put Melton in two minds whether to for the ball or not. It also gave us a lot of open space which lead to oppurtunities for running and kicking. Great game boys keep up the good work. Remember we must play 4 quarters of football. Thanks to all the parents for the help it makes the day alot easier.
