The boy's dug deep for a big effort for most of the game in heavy muddy conditions. Just a few lapses in concentration allowed Rupo a foot in the door. With 3 more scoring shots than Rupo, the boy's should have a belief that they can win.

Match Comments:
A really strong team effort, particularly in the first half, where the commitment to win the contests and put pressure on the opposition was fantastic and rewarded with a lead at half-time. A lapse in concentration and effort in the third quarter proved costly and again highlighted we must play a full game to win at this level. Overall, a terrific team effort with every player contributing. Let’s have a good week of training, focus on a strong and consistent effort through the entire game and I am sure a win is just around the corner. Thanks again to Cam and Jack who travelled to Melton to play a second game and support our team.

Match Comments:
We had a great game for our season opener, coming out in the first quarter and kicking the first goal of the match. The on ballers did a terrific job getting it out of the middle and driving the ball forward. Our forward line did a great job, but had a huge task against some huge opposing players. Our Back line stood up well to some onslaughts of pressure as Sunbury's on ballers were getting free. It is clear that we have some work to do. The team needs time to glue, most know each other and some have played together in different years, but it will take a few games to realise their potential as a team. Tyler Murray played a solid game, as did Andrew Gati for his first game ever, But both found themselves sitting on the bench, at Sunshine Hospital, with broken shoulders. We hope you both have speedy recoveries and see you on the paddock further in the season. We're in for a big season, and plan to have a ton of fun.
